RULES
Competition Area: 7x10m stage. The surface is ballet flooring, with tatami mats underneath. A soft mat is placed under the apparatus.
Ceiling height: 6.5 meters.
The competition is open.
All participants who accept the competition rules are eligible to compete.
All competitors participate at their own risk!
Parents and team leaders are responsible for ensuring that the competitors are in suitable health to participate.
Team leaders are responsible for assembling the choreography elements and selecting their level of difficulty.
The organizers and the venue provider accept no responsibility for any injuries occurring during the performance or the preceding warm-up or practice.
Team leaders and individual competitors are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of the information provided in the application.
Competitors must follow the event schedule and be present beside the stage at least three performances before their own.
Competitors or groups must appear on stage within 5 seconds of being announced.
By submitting the application form, the competition rules are considered accepted.
The schedule is informative only; all participants must be ready to perform at least one hour before their planned time.
Competitors must wear their performance attire during the awards ceremony.
Swinging the apparatus is not allowed!
In the Beginner category, lifting another performer is not allowed during the routine!
The Organizer reserves the right to record the performances and routines during the event. All photos and videos remain the property of the Organizer, who may use them for promotional purposes or delete them if they are deemed inappropriate based on the participation rules.
By registering, participants waive any rights to control or seek compensation for the use of photos or videos taken of them.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify the rules or the event conditions (e.g., postponement, cancellation, etc.).
Organizer’s Responsibilities:
Provide medical supervision during the event.
Ensure appropriate conditions for participants (changing rooms, warm-up area, rehearsal).
The Organizer is not responsible for participants’ personal belongings.
The Organizer and its representatives of the Silkdance Aerial Dance Competition are not liable for any injury or damage resulting from participation in the event.
For any matters not regulated by this document, the Organizer has the right to make unilateral decisions.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify the participation rules, which will be published on their website and social media platforms where possible.
For any questions about props or equipment, the organizers will provide clarification.
CATEGORIES
Baby 6 or younger
Mini 7-9 years old
Junior I. 10-13 years old
Junior II. 14-18 years old
Adult I. 19-30 years old
Adult II. 30+ years old
(if there will be too many competitors in one category we are going to separate them)
In case of duos, groups and synchron they have to register to the oldest member's category.
In solo category they can enter in beginner or advanced and pro category.
Beginner:
They have never been in a competition or only once and never got 1st 2nd or 3rd in a competition where there were more the 5 competitors.
In this category they will get a classification. Bronze, silver or a gold medal. If someone got the overall winner last time in this category she/he has to be in the intermediate category.
In the Beginner category, lifting are not allowed during the routine! A slight lift at the beginning of the routine is permitted only if necessary.
Advanced:
They have never compete in an pro/competitive category and get 1st 2nd or 3rd place. Never been in a European or World Champioship before in competitive category.
The first 3 get medals and everybody gets a certificate.
Pro:
More experienced competitors. Already competed in European and World Championships in competitive category.
The first 3 get medals and everybody gets a certificate.
DIVISIONS
HOOP:
solo (woman, man), duo (on one hoop), group 3-4 person(on one hoop), synchron max. 3 hoop
SILK:
solo (woman, man), duo (on one silk), group 3-4 person(on one silk), synchron max. 3 silks
HAMMOCK
solo (woman, man), duo (on one hammock), group 3-4 person(on one hammock), synchron max. 3 hammocks
FREESTYLE:
pl. cube, trapeze, spiral, flying pole etc..
Stage: 7x10 m
ballet floor and tatami and landing mat
MUSIC OR VIDEO
Beginner: 2:00 - 2:30
Advanced: 2:30-3:30
Pro: 3:00 - 4:00
Production: max 5 min
The music must be in MP3 format. The video with the music must be in MP4 format.
Deadline: 10 October 2025 to the newstepsilkdance@gmail.com with the name and the number.
AWARDS
In the Beginner category: gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded based on performance rating. An overall winner receives a trophy, unless the competitor is alone in their rating category—in that case, no overall winner is announced.
In the Advanced and Professional categories: medals for places 1st to 6th, and a trophy for 1st place.
In the Professional Solo category: the top 3 competitors receive both a medal and a trophy.
In Duo, Synchro, and Group categories: every participant in the 1st place team receives a trophy.
Each performance (regardless of placement) receives a certificate.
One trophy per performance will be awarded to each winning act.
Special Awards
As decided by the Jury, the following special awards will be presented:
- Director's Choice
- Jury's Choice
- Artistic Award
- Technical Award
- New Star Award
- 1st Overall
- 2nd Overall
- 3rd Overall
- The Most Successful Aerial Studio
Two award ceremonies are planned per day: one during the day and one at the end of the day.
Special awards will be presented during the final award ceremony each day.
If a competitor is not present at the time of the special award ceremony, the award will not be handed over later.
In case of disputes, the Head of the Jury will make the final decision.
All jury decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
Competitors must not contact Jury members during the competition.
During the award ceremonies, all competitors are required to appear in their performance costume.

Application Requirements for Competitors
Application deadline and payment of registration fees: September 14, 2025.
The registration fee must be transferred in one sum by the club.
A payment confirmation must be sent via email; the registration is only valid once the confirmation is received.
The signed liability waiver must be uploaded through the registration link.
By submitting the application form, the participant acknowledges and accepts the entire set of rules and regulationsof the competition.
Introductory texts can only be submitted at the time of registration.
If someone wishes to submit or modify it later, it must be brought in printed form on the day of the competition and handed directly to the host before the performance.
We cannot accept late submissions via email.

Solo: 60 Euro / person
Duo, group, synchron: 35 Euro / person
